DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that the 2026 Cymdeithas Madog in-person summer course\, Cwrs Cymraeg Bryn Dderw (Oak Hill Welsh Course)\, will be held at University of Rio Grande / Rio Grande Community College\, Rio Grande\, Ohio from 19 – 26 July 2026. \nRegistration for Cwrs Bryn Dderw 2026 \nWe have a great Cwrs planned for 2026! Our tutors’ biographies will be available very soon on the Cymdeithas Madog home page under “learn more about our summer 2026 course.” \nWhen registering\, please select the level you would like to join: Mynediad\, Sylfaen\, Canolradd or Uwch. Please click here for a guide to our curriculum levels for help with self-placement. \nThe Wednesday excursion will be to a tour of the Welsh Scenic Byway. There will be many other activities to enjoy over the week\, including Welsh folk dancing (twmpath)\, film night\, Welsh quiz\, games night\, and extra workshops on Welsh topics of interest. Our Noson Lawen and Eisteddfod will be highlights of the week! \nWe hope you will join us! \nCost per participant for the week: \n\nEarly Bird Residential (by 11:59 pm ET on May 22nd): $1\,210\nResidential (after May 22nd): $1\,310\nEarly Bird Commuter or Tag Along (by 11:59 pm ET on May 22nd): $760\nCommuter or “tag-along” (after May 22nd): $810\n\nWhat’s included for residential students: \n\n24 hours of in-class instruction by qualified Welsh language instructors\nRoom\, board and refreshments for the duration of the course\nTour of the Welsh Scenic Byway\nAirport pick-up and drop off (Columbus Airport)\nEnd of Cwrs banquet\nDaily extracurricular activities\nEvening program of events\n\nWhat’s included for commuter students: \n\nTuition\, all meals and scheduled refreshments\, participation in all activities and Wednesday tour\n\nWhat’s included for “tag-alongs”: \n\nRoom\, all meals and scheduled refreshments\, participation in evening activities and Wednesday tour\n\nAccommodation \nCwrs Cymraeg attendees will be staying in Trinity Hall\, Rio’s newest dorm building. \n\nUp to 4 people will be sharing apartments. Each apartment has its own bathroom with shower\nTrinity Hall is handicapped accessible\, but please inform us of any accessibility needs\nAll rooms/suites are air conditioned\n\nAirport Pick-Up/Drop-Off \nA free airport pick-up and drop-off service has been arranged for John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). \n\nPick up will be at 3pm on Sunday\, July 19th.
